Mobile Seva is an UN award-winning e-governance initiative by government of India.[1] This programme was launched in 2011,[2] by Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. This programme includes a Mobile Applications Store that by December, 2013, contained 240 applications available free.[3][4] The programme takes benefit of ubiquitous mobile phone use all over India, to enable interaction between the Indian government and its citizens.[5]
