He played four years of college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils, winning a national championship in 2010. He was selected with the 26th overall pick in 2012 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers and went on to have a seven-year NBA career. He won an NBL championship with the Perth Wildcats in 2020.
