Óscar Mauricio Lizcano Arango (born August 12, 1976) is a Colombian politician and lawyer, graduated from the Faculty of Jurisprudence of the University of the Rosario. He was elected member of the Chamber of Representatives in 2006, senator of Colombia in 2010, and re-elected again in 2014. He is the son of former representat Óscar Tulio Lizcano, kidnapped in 2000 by members of the FARC guerrilla, from where he ran to escape in 2008. He served as President of the Senate in the period 2016 and 2017. He is Minister of Information Technology and Communications since May 1, 2023.[2][3][4]
