Mahabir Pun (Nepali: महावीर पुन, pronounced[maːbirpun]) is a Nepali researcher,[2] teacher,[3] social entrepreneur[4] and an activist[5] known for his work in applying wireless technologies to develop remote areas of the Himalayas, also known as the Nepal Wireless Networking Project.[6][7] He is a widely known figure in Nepal, and his work has been recognised by the Ashoka Foundation, the Ramon Magsaysay Foundation, [University of Nebraska Kearney],and Global Ideas Bank.[8][9][10][11]
