Lost Girl is a Canadian supernatural drama television series[1] that premiered on Showcase on September 12, 2010. The series was created by Michelle Lovretta[2] and is produced by Jay Firestone,[3] Prodigy Pictures Inc.,[4] and Keyframe Digital Productions, Inc., with the participation of the Canadian Television Fund (Canada Media Fund), and in association with Shaw Media. It follows the life of a bisexual[5][6] succubus named Bo, played by Anna Silk,[7][8] as she learns to control her superhuman abilities, help those in need, and discover the truth about her origins.
Lost Girl premiered on Showcase on September 12, 2010.[9] Its debut became "the highest-rated Canadian scripted series premiere of all time on Showcase."[10]
The series premiered in Australia on Sci Fi on July 14, 2011.[11] In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the series premiered on Syfy (UK) on September 1, 2011.[12] In the United States, the series premiered on Syfy on January 16, 2012.[13]
