Lirdaf (Persian: ليردف)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Lirdaf District of Jask County, Hormozgan province, Iran.[4] As a village, Lirdaf was the capital of Surak Rural District[5] until its capital was transferred to the village of Sedij.[6]
At the 2006 census, its population was 662 in 130 households, when it was a village in Piveshk Rural District.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 1,159 people in 261 households.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,734 people in 451 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
After the census, the village of Lirdaf was elevated to the status of a city.[4]
