The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) is an organization mandated to advise and assist members of the legal profession, the government and the larger public in all matters relating to the administration of justice in Kenya.[2]
It was established by an Act of Parliament – The Law Society of Kenya Act (Chapter 18 of the Laws of Kenya). The current LSK Act, came into effect in 1992.[3]
The LSK has over 22,000 practicing advocates in its membership.[4]
