Komodo International Airport[2] (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Internasional Komodo) (IATA: LBJ, ICAO: WATO) is an airport near the town of Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores in East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia. The airport's name comes from Labuan Bajo's status as a departure point for tours to the nearby Komodo National Park, home of the Komodo dragon.
It was formerly known as Mutiara II Airport,[3] not to be confused with Mutiara Airport located near the city of Palu in Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province. In September 2013, the first Boeing 737-800 landed and took off successfully.
On April 2 2024, the Ministry of Transportation granted international airport status to Komodo International Airport
