Josep Carner i Puigoriol[1] (Catalan pronunciation:[ʒuˈzɛpkəɾˈne]; Barcelona 9 February 1884 – Brussels 4 June 1970), was a Spanish poet, journalist, playwright and translator. He was also known as the Prince of Catalan Poets.
He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature seven times.[2]
