John III of the Sedre[nb 1] (Syriac: ܝܘܚܢܢ ܕܣܕܪ̈ܘܗܝ, Arabic: يوحنا ابو السدرات)[4] was the Patriarch of Antioch and head of the Syriac Orthodox Church from 631 until his death in 648. He is commemorated as a saint by the Syriac Orthodox Church, and his feast day is 14 December.[5]
