Jim Harwood, sometimes given as James Harwood, (April 1, 1938 — September 3, 1993, Freestone, California) was an American journalist, film critic, screenwriter, author, and television producer who spent the majority of his career writing film criticism and news stories for Variety from 1969 through 1993.
