The International Nuclear Safety Group, formerly the International Nuclear Safety Advisory Group (INSAG), is an international organization focused on making nuclear safety clear and accessible for the public that was created by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 1985.[1] Under the direction of the IAEA, INSAG helps in providing recommendations on nuclear safety approaches,[2] creates new safety plans and procedures to follow, and emphasizing the importance of nuclear safety. The INSAG headquarters are located in Vienna, Austria.
