If a Body Meets a Body is a 1945 short subject directed by Jules White starring American slapstick comedy team The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Curly Howard). It is the 86th entry in the series released by Columbia Pictures starring the comedians, who released 190 shorts for the studio between 1934 and 1959.
The film is a remake of the comedy film The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case (1930), and it features a murder mystery. In the film, Curly arrives at a mansion for the reading of the will of his uncle. The lawyer is murdered shortly later, and the will disappears. All the potential heirs and Curly's two friends are confined to the mansion for the night. The Stooges experience several ominous incidents, but uncover the identity of the killer. Only to learn that Curly's inheritance amounts to less than 1 dollar.
The film was Curly Howard's first film appearance after suffering a stroke, resulting in Curly's slurred speech and slower timing in this film.
