Ibtesam Saeed Badhrees is a research scientist in experimental particle physics at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and a Distinguished Fellow of New Westminster College.[1]
Badhrees is the first Saudi woman member of CERN.[2] In addition, she is the first Saudi female PhD holder to work in the National Center for Mathematics and Physics in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. Her research areas are in Experimental Elementary Particle Physics, Astrophysics, Medical Physics and Nuclear Physics. In addition, Badhrees acts as an adjunct professor at Carleton University in Canada[3]
