Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is an Indian computer-based test for admission to the various undergraduate programmes offered by the seven IISERs, along with IISc Bangalore and IIT Madras.[2][3][4][5]
It is the only examination to get admission into the
5-year BS-MS Dual Degree Programme of the IISERs,
4-year BS Degree Programme of IISER Bhopal, and
4-year BS Programme of IIT Madras.
It also serves as one of the channels to get admission into the 4-year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme of IISc Bangalore.
IAT consists of 60 questions: 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.[6]
