Hygrophoropsis rufescens is a species of fungus in the family Hygrophoropsidaceae. Originally described as Cantharellus rufescens by French mycologist Lucien Quélet in 1886, it was transferred to Hygrophoropsis by Rolf Singer in 1986.[1]
