Huras is a 1996 Maldivian comedy drama film written and directed by Amjad Ibrahim.[1] Produced by Hussain Rasheed under Farivaa Films, the film stars Hassan Afeef, Mariyam Rasheedha, Vazuna Ahmed, Koyya Hassan Manik and Arifa Ibrahim in pivotal roles.[2]
The film marks Amjad Ibrahim's first direction.[3] The project was expanded solely with the intention of winning Gaumee Film Awards.[4] However, the film failed to garner any award at 2nd Gaumee Film Awards ceremony which resulted Ibrahim focusing more into commercial film making.[4]
