He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a catcher from 2003 to 2014 most prominently as a member of the Houston Astros. He also played for the San Diego Padres, Kansas City Royals, Philadelphia Phillies, and Seattle Mariners. He served as a bullpen catcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2016 to 2021.
