Graziano Mesina (Italian:[ɡratˈtsjaːnomeˈziːna]; born 4 April 1942),[1] also popularly known as Gratzianeddu in Sardinian language, is an Italian bandit of the Anonima sarda. He has escaped the authorities at least 10 times.[1][2] He was called the "king of the kidnappers" by The New York Times in 1992.[3] There have been books, songs, and at least one film about him.[1]
