In Norse mythology, Ginnungagap (old Norse: [ˈɡinːoŋɡɑˌɡɑp]; "gaping abyss", "yawning void") is the primordial, magical[1][2] void mentioned in three poems from the Poetic Edda[3][4] and the Gylfaginning, the Eddaic text recording Norse cosmogony.
