Gerhard Ysing information

Gerhard Arentsson Ysing[a] (1603 – 1673), was a Swedish ironmaster and merchant, known as Karlskoga's first industrialist.[2]

Gerhard Arentsson Ysing was a native of Stade, Germany.[1] Ysing practiced in Örebro in the 17th century,[2] and in the 1630s, he acquired the Valåsen Ironworks from Arvid Bengtsson,[2] but Ysing never settled there.[2]

In 1672, he donated a chandelier to the Karlskoga Church.[2] Ysing married twice.[3]

Ysing died in Örebro in 1673.[2]
