The sport of football in the country of Syria is run by the Syrian Arab Federation for Football.[2][3] The association administers the national football team as well as the Syrian Premier League. Football is the most popular sport in the country.[4][5][6]

Tishreen SC, Al Wahda SC, Al-Jaish SC and Al-Ittihad are amongst the most popular clubs in the country. All teams compete in the Syrian Premier League, the highest tier of Syrian football.[citation needed]
