Football is the most popular sport in Qatar.[1][2][3][4] Football in Qatar is organized by the Qatar Football Association (QFA).[5]
Qatar hosted the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, 2021 FIFA Arab Cup,[6] 2022 FIFA World Cup,[7] and 2023 AFC Asian Cup. It will also host the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup.[8][9]
