Evangelos Marinakis (Greek: Ευάγγελος (Βαγγέλης) Μαρινάκης, born 30 July 1967)[1] is a Greek businessman, media mogul,[2] and member of the Piraeus city council. He is the owner of the football clubs Olympiacos in Greece,[1] Nottingham Forest in England and Rio Ave in Portugal.[3][4]
He has been labelled as a "Greek oligarch" primarily due to his financial activities and controversial influence and connections within Greek politics.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]
