Elizabeth Amy Eaton[1] (born April 2, 1955) is the fourth Presiding Bishop, and the first female Presiding Bishop,[2] of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). She was first elected to this post in 2013 and was re-elected for a second term in 2019. Prior to becoming presiding bishop, she served as bishop of the Northeastern Ohio Synod.
