Eleanor Holmes Norton (born June 13, 1937) is an American lawyer and politician serving as a delegate to the United States House of Representatives, representing the District of Columbia since 1991. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to serving in Congress, Holmes Norton organized for Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee during the civil rights movement and was chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
