The Eagles of the Central Hills was a far-right Sinhalese paramilitary group in Sri Lanka. It was mainly active during the 1987–1989 JVP insurrection, where it was one of the main anti-communist paramilitaries alongside the Black Cat group and violently opposed the Marxist–Leninist Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP).[1][2][3]

The Eagles of the Central Hills were believed to consist of off-duty police and military personnel. They reached out to local police stations and often claimed responsibility for killing militants or affiliates of the JVP through massacres and assassinations.[4][3]
