David Cooper Ayres (January 25, 1820 – February 1, 1890) was a Wisconsin physician who was a military surgeon during the American Civil War and served three one-year terms as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.[1] In historical documents his name is often abbreviated as D. Cooper Ayres.
