China Internet Information Center (Chinese: 中国互联网新闻中心; pinyin: Zhōngguó Hùliánwǎng Xīnwén Zhōngxīn; or 中国网/网上中国) is a state-run web portal of the People's Republic of China of the State Council Information Office and the China International Communications Group.[1] The site was launched on December 12, 2000.[2]
Its editor-in-chief is Wang Xiaohui, who also serves as a vice minister of the Central Propaganda Department of the Chinese Communist Party.[3][4]
