Chigozie Obioma (born October 24, 1986) is a Nigerian writer who wrote the novels The Fishermen (2015)[2] and An Orchestra of Minorities (2019),[3] both of which were shortlisted for the Booker Prize in their respective years of publication.[4][5] His work has been translated into more than 30 languages.[6]
As of 2021[update], Obioma is James E. Ryan Associate Professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.[7]
