Catherine Debrunner (born 11 April 1995) is a Swiss athlete. Before she turned to fulltime athlete in 2022 she was also a part time teacher.
She has competed for Team Switzerland at the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships, the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships and at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships where she won her first global gold medal. In 2023 she competed in the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships where she won 4 gold and 1 silver medal. [1]
In the World Marathon Majors she has won 6 of the 7 marathons she started and set new course records at the Berlin Marathon, 2023 Chicago Marathon, 2023 London Marathon and the New York City Marathon.
She currently holds the world records in the 100m (T53), 200m (T53), 400m (T53), 800m (T53), 5000m (T53/T54) and the marathon (T53/T54). [2]
