Casmalia Resources Hazardous Waste Landfill information


The Casmalia Resources Hazardous Waste Landfill was a 252–acre disposal facility located in the hills near Casmalia, California. During its operation, 4.5 billion pounds of hazardous waste from up to 10,000 individuals, businesses and government agencies were dumped on site. The facility was closed in 1989,[1] and is now a listed as a Superfund Site by the Environmental Protection Agency.[2]
