Atacadão S.A., doing business as Grupo Carrefour Brasil, is a Brazilian retail trade company controlled by the French group with the same name. Owner of several brands that operate under the Carrefour brand and Atacadão, which is considered the largest wholesaler in Brazil. After the acquisition of Bompreço, it became the largest private employer in Brazil.[2] It is considered the largest food retail company in the country, according to the ABRAS Ranking 2022.[3]
