Buton Palace Fortress, originally the Wolio Palace, is a late 16th century palatial fortress located in Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi. The palace was built in the late 16th century for Sultan Buton III, La Sangaji titled Sultan Kaimuddin (1591-1596) and was the residence of the Buton Sultanate.[1] Heritage performances are given inside the fortress.[1]
