The district, located in the middle of the state, includes Waco, College Station, and Bryan.[2] He is a member of the Republican Party and the former chief executive officer of Phoenix Exploration Company, an oil and natural gas company. Flores currently serves as Vice Chair of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).[3]
