William Hose Flores Sr. (/ˈflɔːrɛz/; born February 25, 1954)[1] is an American businessman and politician who was the U.S. representative for Texas's 17th congressional district from 2011 to 2021. The district, located in the middle of the state, includes Waco, College Station, and Bryan.[2] He is a member of the Republican Party and the former chief executive officer of Phoenix Exploration Company, an oil and natural gas company. Flores currently serves as Vice Chair of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).[3]
Flores chose not to seek re-election in 2020 after five terms in office. He was succeeded by former U.S. Representative for Texas's 32nd congressional district Congressman Pete Sessions.
