Balcary Lifeboat Station is located at Auchencairn Bay, on the Solway Firth, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south east of the village of Auchencairn, in the county of Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland
A lifeboat was first stationed here by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in 1884.[1]
The station was no longer required following the placement of a motor-powered lifeboat at Kirkcudbright. Balcary Lifeboat Station closed in 1931.[1]
