Bakhytzhan Ertaevich Ertaev (Kazakh: Бақытжан Ертайұлы Ертаев; born in Zhambyl on July 25, 1952) is a Kazakhstani military commander, Kazakhstani Chief of the General Staff (1997—2000), Lieutenant general (1998),[1] People's Hero of Kazakhstan (2008).[2]
