The Baghdad Metro (Arabic: مترو بغداد), also known as Baghdad Elevated Train (BET), is a proposed rapid transit in the form of an elevated railway, for the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. Construction is to start in 2024 and finish in 2027.[1] France’s Alstom and South Korea’s Hyundai would undertake the implementation of the $2.5 billion project, which aims to ease road congestion in the capital.[2]
