Athena LaTocha is an American artist based in New York artist. Her mixed-media works focus on humans' relationships to natural landscapes. She is of Hunkpapa Lakota and Ojibwe descent.[1]
Her work has been featured at the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts,[2] Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, New York State Museum, Artists Space, South Dakota Art Museum, the CUE Art Foundation in New York, International Gallery of Contemporary Art in Anchorage, Alaska,[3] and the Ice House gallery in New York.[4] She was one of six artists selected for Wave Hill's winter workspace program in 2018.[5]
