Archibald Wauchope of Niddrie information


Archibald Wauchope of Niddrie (c. 1565 – 1597) Scottish landowner and rebel.

He was the son of Robert Wauchope of Niddrie, who died in 1598,[1] and Margaret Dundas, daughter of James Dundas of Dundas.[2]

He was known as the "Laird of Niddrie, younger". The Wauchope lands were at Niddrie, Edinburgh, also called "Niddrie-Merschell".
