Angelo of Foligno (1226 - 27 August 1312) - born Angelo Conti - was an Italian Catholic priest and a professed friar of the Order of Saint Augustine.[1] Conti was part of the order of John the Good though became a mainstream Augustinian in 1256 after the Grand Union of the order. He was a close friend of both Saint Nicholas of Tolentino and Blessed Ugolino da Gualdo Cattaneo.[2]
The beatification was confirmed on 11 March 1891 under Pope Leo XIII by a decree of 'confirmatio cultus', i.e. an act of confirmation of a longstanding veneration by the faithful.
