Ali Jedo (died 1846 or 1849), was the first Amir al-jaish al-Islam (supreme commander of the army or Sarkin Yaki) of the Sokoto Caliphate.[1] Prior to the jihad, he was the leader of the Fulbe of Konni in modern-day Sokoto State.[2]
