Adib Fahim is the former deputy director general of Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security. His father, Marshal Mohammad Fahim, was the first vice president of Afghanistan.[1][2] Following the death of his father in March 2014, Adib was appointed as his father's successor in the social arena at a ceremony organized by then president Karzai in Afghanistan's Presidential Palace.[3][4][5] He was featured on the Time Magazine and the National Public Radio (NPR).[6][7]
