Kennedy Building while students were giving a final presentation.[6] The perpetrator, a former UNCC student named Trystan Andrew Terrell, was arrested shortly afterwards.[3] In September 2019, he pleaded guilty to the murders and was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.[7]
