The 2019 San Diego Padres season was the 51st season of the San Diego Padres franchise. The Padres played their home games at Petco Park as members of Major League Baseball's National League West. On September 21, the Padres fired Andy Green as manager. Bench coach Rod Barajas was promoted to interim manager.[1]
The Padres hit a franchise record seven home runs in their 19–4 win against the Toronto Blue Jays on May 25.[2] Though they improved on their record from the previous season, they still failed to qualify for the postseason for the thirteenth straight year.
