Group A of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup took place from 5 to 14 January 2019.[1] The group consisted of tournament hosts United Arab Emirates, Thailand, India and Bahrain.[2] The top two teams, the United Arab Emirates and Thailand, along with third-placed Bahrain (as one of the four best third-placed teams), advanced to the round of 16.[3]
