The 2016 Hogan Cup was the 63rd staging of the Hogan Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1946.[1] The competition ran from 16 March to 2 April 2016.

Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by St Brendan's College in the Corn Uí Mhuirí.[2][3]

The final was played on 2 April 2016 at Croke Park in Dublin, between St Brendan's College and St Patrick's College, in what was their first ever meeting in the final.[4] St Brendan's College won the match by 2–13 to 2–06 to claim their third Hogan Cup title overall and a first title in 24 years.[5]

Shane McGuigan was the top scorer with 2–11.
