The Mongolian Lunar New Year, commonly known as Tsagaan Sar (Mongolian: Цагаан сар, Cagán sar / ᠴᠠᠭᠠᠨᠰᠠᠷᠠ, Mongolian pronunciation:[t͡sʰaɢaːŋsar] or literally White Moon),[note 1] is the first day of the year according to the Mongolian lunisolar calendar.
