Tigrinya (ትግርኛ, Təgrəñña; also spelled Tigrigna) is an Ethiopian Semitic language commonly spoken in Eritrea and in northern Ethiopia's Tigray Region by the Tigrinya and Tigrayan peoples.[2] It is also spoken by the global diaspora of these regions.
