Sloboda Ukraine (Ukrainian: Слобідська Україна, romanized: Slobidska Ukraina; Russian: Слободская Украина, romanized: Slobodskaya Ukraina), usually referred to locally as Slobozhanshchyna (Ukrainian: Слобожанщина, IPA:[sloboˈʒɑnʃtʃɪnɐ]; Russian: Слобожанщина, romanized: Slobozhanshchina, IPA:[sləbɐˈʐanʲɕːɪnə]), is a historical region located in northeastern Ukraine and southwestern Russia.
